SedAssure: Sedation Services Done Better
Safe, effective, dependable care
Struggling with anesthesia shortages?
Our goals are simple: help you reduce cancellations and delays, increase throughput, improve patient satisfaction, and keep your procedure or operating rooms running smoothly.
The 2026 Anesthesia Access and Sedation Survey Report is now available.
The access conversation needs to run on more than anecdote and assumption.
We wanted the data, so we queried 150 people who actually make these decisions and put what they told us in one place.
Staffing pressure, rising stipends, new care models — there’s no shortage of commentary on where anesthesia access is headed. What’s harder to find is a straight read on where facilities actually stand right now. So instead of adding another opinion, we asked.
Working with Pfiedler Education, a division of AORN, SedAssure surveyed 150 people who make anesthesia and sedation decisions. This report lays out what they told us in plain language, with insights from our team.

Staffing gaps are costing you money
Delays. Inefficiencies. Patient dissatisfaction.
You can’t afford to keep improvising. You need a scalable, clinically-sound, comprehensive solution—one that works with your workflows, not against them.
That’s where SedAssure comes in.
"Nearly everybody unofficially will say, 'Heck yes, we need an option' — but there's fear of being singled out publicly, and so some leaders are reluctant to say it openly today. Many people are saying that publicly. Nearly everybody is saying it privately."
— Solomon Aronson, MD :: S01 E01
Surgical rooms are going dark because the anesthesia coverage isn't there, and the shortage won't rebalance this decade. The Sedationist podcast brings surgical facility leaders and anesthesiologists into the same conversation about what comes next — staffing, training, medication, safety, patient experience, and economics. Hosted by Amanda Aleksandrowicz.
